Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our tests on floors that are bare They're also particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to getting stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate rooms with lots of people well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.
However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly unfinished home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or going to school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on very well and can't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be replaced with an awe-inspiring one in a matter of just a few seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into a sleek, compact package. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It has advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads on its own).
It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. It's also quite expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing to live some more volume and some additional cost it's a efficient two-in-one device that should please almost everyone.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of features that are advanced and will help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

It's self-sufficient too, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base.

It is also louder than other top robot vacuums we have examined. It also has an app that is less intuitive and a small base station that can't double as a bin to empty.
